the one with the battered brain,
with the curious heart.
I have a question for you
a fine one.
Not one of those twisted dark ones
but an oddly simple query I have.
Is it just me?
Or you have an annoying tendency?
A sadist view
struggling strategy.
You put me off
on days, occasions and parties
at parks and ceremonies.
You look straight into the eyes
and you prick
not like a needle or a pin
but still you  prick.
I devised a way out
or so I thought I did
I used laughter
they call it the best medicine
but you are immune
and unique.
You played me
you played my devise.
So I ask you 'bad old Memory?'
Is it just me?
